Mrs. Clark's Home Page

I am so excited for the 2018-2019 school year! After being out of the classroom for the past 7 months due to maternity leave, I am eager to get back into the swing of things.
This will be my 4th year teaching. I graduated from Eastern Illinois with my bachelor's in 2014.  I then spent the following year starting my masters in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in ESL Instruction at EIU and am continuing to work on finishing it. I started out at Northlawn Junior High in Streator, IL as an English as a Second Language teacher for grades 5-8. I made the transition to Coal City Middle School in 2016.  I have taught a little bit of everything, but am currently teaching 6th grade English-Language Arts and Social Studies.  I also have a background in coaching track and field, specifically shot put and discus, as I make it a point to not run.
A few fun tid bits about myself:
My husband and I got married in 2016 and last year moved to Channahon.  We welcomed our son, Camren, in January of 2018.  He is happy chunk of a kid and we are loving parenthood. My husband and I are both certified scuba divers and I thoroughly enjoy all water sports.  I am also an avid reader, love to travel the world and like to think I am a decent photographer.  I am a huge coffee drinker, and it has become a joke among my family and friends.
