Methods in math

In Mr.  Larson's first hour math class, students just finished up their statistics assessment where students learned how to find the mean, median, mode, and range, and also examine data in dot, line and box plots. Toward the end of the week, they began to find the probability of single events. Students are now beginning to understand the probability model and the difference between experimental and theoretical probability.

Mr. Larson’s third and fourth hour math classes are working in their geometry unit.  Students have found an area of triangles, circles, trapezoids and hexagons. They are currently working on  finding volume, and surface area of three dimensional shapes.  Next up for the students, finding the unknown side of a right triangle using the pythagorean theorem.
