Showing respect

Coal City Middle School focuses  on a new character trait each month and students from all three grade levels are recognized for displaying that trait. The students are nominated by their grade level and Encore teachers.

Instructing students on the importance of having and showing respect was the character trait the school has been working on for the past month and six students were recognized on Wednesday, Oct. 9.for being respectful to their peers, teachers and building staff.

Students who stood out to teachers for showing respect  were:

Sixth grade—Max Marketti and Sienna Ruffatto

Seventh grade—Marcy Foote and Caleb Hall

Eighth grade—Aidan Morgan and Jasmin Serna

Encore—Colin Cooper and Giavella Carver

Each of the students received a certificate and a McDonald’s gift card.

Friendship is the next character trait students will be focusing on.
