Health, physical education classes teach students how to be healthy and active

The students in Mr. Bunton’s classes at Coal City Middle School have been learning about six body systems and how they function in health this quarter. Currently, the students are learning about the nervous system and the benefits of keeping the system healthy. Throughout the quarter students have learned about other body systems including the skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, circulatory system, and respiratory systems. Students will finish the quarter discussing the negative effects of tobacco.

Mr. Bunton’s physical education students will finish up the quarter by participating in outdoor/lifetime activities such as cornhole, bocce ball, and washers. Students have been focusing on their personal fitness as well through daily stretching and running/walking. Students continue to work extremely hard while maintaining a positive attitude.
