Leaders recognized at Coal City Middle School

The Coaler character trait of the month at Coal City Middle School focused on leadership. A good leader, school officials say,  is goal oriented, honest, hard-working, willing to serve others, a good listener, a good communicator, a good decision-maker, encouraging, positive, and responsible. A good student leader can recognize that everyone has strengths and weaknesses  and they affirm and utilize the strengths in the group, while also assisting in the areas of weakness.

Students recognized for being leaders were:

Sixth grade—Charly Gray and John Viano

Seventh grade—Cora Bill and Cameron Haas

Eighth grade—Kayla Kowalski and Danny Fite

Encore honorees—Ashlyn Siron and Jaxon Duke

Each of the students received a certificate and gift card.
