Coalers take part in art show

 

The Exhibit Fine Arts Center & Gallery in Morris hosted a Middle School Art Show and the exhibit featured the work of 18 Coal City Middle School students. 

 

“Our students did well and won some very nice ribbons,” said Amy Siefken, the school’s art instructor. 

 

Alyson Shelton was the overall winner of the show and Kennedy Larson earned second place in the show. 

 

Larson also received first place among eighth grade artists, Caroline Grunwald was the third place ribbon winner in sixth grade and her classmate Lila Molloy earned honorable mention. 

 

The theme of the show was Happiness.
