Middle School students learning about the body and staying healthy

Health

Students in Mr. Bunton’s health classes have been learning about six different body systems and how they function. Currently, the students are learning about the nervous system  and the benefits of keeping the system healthy. Throughout the quarter students have learned about other body systems including the skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, circulatory system, and respiratory systems. Students will finish the quarter discussing the negative effects of tobacco.

Physical Education

Students are finishing up the quarter by participating in Fitness and Outdoor Recreation (weather permitting). Students have been focusing on their personal fitness as well as team-oriented activities and individual skills throughout the semester. The curriculum has consisted of daily stretching and running/walking.  Mr. Bunton reports the students continue to work extremely hard while maintaining a positive attitude.
