Sarah Veronda, Ed.S, NCSP

Welcome!

My name is Sarah Veronda and I am the School Psychologist for Coal City Intermediate School, Coal City Middle School, and Coal City High School. I started working in the district in Fall 2012. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Illinois State University. I completed my graduate education at National-Louis University at Skokie. At that time, I earned my Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology. I am currently a National Certified School Psychologist.

My role is to identify barriers to student learning whether it be academic struggles, behavioral difficulties, or social-emotional reasons, and then determine appropriate interventions. I conduct psychological assessments as part of the evaluation of students for special education services. I am a member of each school's Building Leadership Team and Positive Behavior Supports team. I also participate on the District Leadership Team.
