The Coal City Middle School Scholastic Bowl A team concluded their regular-conference season with a balanced record of 5 wins and 5 losses. The team is now preparing for the upcoming Illinois Elementary School Association [IESA] State series, which begins with regional competition on April 30.
This year's state series holds special significance for four talented eighth grade members of the A team—Cameron Haas, RC Hollis, Tess Jeschke, and Damion Libner—as they participate in their final middle school matches. These players have been key contributors throughout the season and will be looking to make a strong showing in the postseason.
Meanwhile, the CCMS Scholastic Bowl B team has celebrated an exceptional regular season, finishing undefeated with an impressive 10-0 record. Their remarkable performance highlights the depth and strength of the CCMS Scholastic Bowl program.
