Coal City Middle School Concert and Jazz Bands presented the annual holiday concert on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
The evening began with a performance by the jazz band. For the winter concert, the group performed three songs—”Moanin,” “Christmas Time is Here,” and “Caribbean Christmas.”
The Concert Band presented three instrumental pieces that included “African Bell Carol,” “ All is Calm,” and “Christmas at the Movies,” a number that included pieces of the soundtrack from ‘Home Alone,” “Nightmare Before Christmas,” and “Polar Express.”
The middle school jazz and concert bands are directed by Andrew Brimm.
The final winter concert of the season will feature the middle school choir. The Dec. 19 concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Coal City Performing Arts Center.
