The Coal City Middle School wrestling team had eight wrestlers taking the mat in the Illinois Elementary School Association State Wrestling finals.
Four Coalers brought home medals. Fifth place finishers were Brantley Brooks, Ryder Gill and Phoenix Senodenos, and Jason Piatak finished sixth.
Fellow wrestlers qualifying for state competition were Max Christensen, Fuzzy Hamilton, Ryker Long and Gavin Roudis.
