Students in Mr. Larson's first hour math class at Coal City Middle School just finished up their statistics assessment. In this unit, students learned how to find the mean, median, mode, range and also examine data in dot, line and box plots. Toward the end of last week, they began to find the probability of single events. This week students will begin to understand the probability model and the difference between experimental and theoretical probability.
In Larson's third and fourth hour math classes, students recently finished up their unit involving probability where students learned how to find probability of both single and compound events. Toward the end of the week students began the geometry unit. In this unit, Mr. Larson and his students will be looking at scale drawings, similar figures, surface area and volume.
